Fort Fisher is a beautiful historical area that sits along the southern edge of our coastline here in North Carolina. This was the last stronghold for the Southern Confederacy during the Civil War and remains a historical landmark for our country.
There is an amazing view of the Lower Cape Fear River, a place to drive on the beach, and an amazing visitor center to learn more about the significance of Fort Fisher. There is also an amazing aquarium with a wide variety of animal and fish species that can be found here in North Carolina.
